Negative Binomial Regression in Underdispersion(Case Study: Neonatal Mortality in Jambi City)

نویسندگان

چکیده

Neonatalis is birth before 28 days of a baby. Factors that are considered to affect neonatal mortality include the number visits in 1st and 3 rd trimester, pregnant women receiving Tetanus Diptheria Immunization, estimated infants with complications, Hepatitis B Immunization for less than 24 hours, BCG 1 visits. Neonatal still very rare so right analysis used, namely Negative Binomial Regression. This research aim investigate negative binomial regression underdipersion on at Jambi City. These two methods specifically used Poisson distributed data because they rare. The stages will be carried out distribution test equidispersion assumption, parameter estimation, model feasibility test, selection best model. results obtained without variable 3rd-trimester or who received immunization AIC was 36.3.

Comparison between Efficiency of Poisson Regression Model and Negative Binomial Regression in the Analysis of Factors Affecting Mortality from Cardiovascular Diseases in Yazd Province in 2017

Introduction: Despite the advances in cardiovascular diseases, death caused by these diseases is still considered as the leading cause of mortality. In this study, some of the effective factors on the deaths caused by cardiovascular diseases were investigated Methods: This cross-sectional analytical study investigated the efficacy of Poisson regression models and negative binomial regres...

Estimation of Count Data using Bivariate Negative Binomial Regression Models

Abstract Negative binomial regression model (NBR) is a popular approach for modeling overdispersed count data with covariates. Several parameterizations have been performed for NBR, and the two well-known models, negative binomial-1 regression model (NBR-1) and negative binomial-2 regression model (NBR-2), have been applied. Another parameterization of NBR is negative binomial-P regression mode...

Zero inflated Poisson and negative binomial regression models: application in education

Background: The number of failed courses and semesters in students are indicatorsof their performance. These amounts have zero inflated (ZI) distributions. Using ZI Poisson and negative binomial distributions we can model these count data to find the associated factors and estimate the parameters. This study aims at to investigate the important factors related to the educational performance of ...

Negative binomial and mixed Poisson regression

A number of methods have been proposed for dealing with extra-Poisson variation when doing regression analysis of count data. This paper studies negative-binomial regression models and examines efficiency and robustness properties of inference procedures based on them. The methods are compared with quasilikelihood methods. RESUME Plusieurs mkthodes ont ktk propokes en vue de traiter le probltme...

On the bivariate negative binomial regression model

In this paper, a new bivariate negative binomial regression (BNBR) model allowing any type of correlation is defined and studied. The marginal means of the bivariate model are functions of the explanatory variables. The parameters of the bivariate regression model are estimated by using the maximum likelihood method. Some test statistics including goodness-of-fit are discussed. Two numerical da...
